Stalked: First Kills News + Lost Footage

If you are wondering what Stalked: First Kills would have looked like had we finished the original concept we planned to produce by and release on Halloween, then I have a little present for you. I was able to salvage the only footage in existence of that abandoned production.

Last Halloween me and my awesome local INDIE as $%#@! crew members started filming a prequel to Stalked in the style of a no budget campy splatter flick on no budget as a little Halloween treat. While we were making great progress a series of events ultimately took all of our attention away from the project and those of us committed to it had become committed to other things. When we weren't shooting, I was editing pieces at a time and had a bit of footage ready to go. Well, as we tried to salvage the production, my computer, camera and external hard drive gave out almost all at the same time. I've since gotten a new computer and fixed up the cameras... The hard drive however is still in critical condition. Through perseverance and patience however I have salvaged a few things from that hard drive. Some of those few said things just happen to be the first eight minutes of and the trailer for the scraped Stalked: First Kills  concept!

THIS PROJECT IS NOT DEAD!

While no, this version of the film is not happening now and this production IS dead WE ARE STILL GOING TO MAKE THIS FILM! I have since started writing a script for a new First Kills that is taking a more serious route and we WILL be making this film one way or another. We will follow up this film with a Stalked Part II which there is already a concept for. However a part two will likely come later down the road as I am committed to other projects at the moment.

The great cult

The greatest cult is religion... There are to many people with to many conflicting views to ever agree on one way of life or one god. But there is an obvious pattern in all religions that links them. It's the subtle differences in them, that seem a little insignificant in the grand scheme that cause the most friction. How do you know who's right, who's wrong and on what grounds can you denounce another persons religious beliefs? Then our religion depends on what we are taught, and we are taught not to question it. We are then ignorant to others beliefs and why they have those beliefs and we are unconcerned since we are taught not to question our beliefs. Cult doesn't necessarily mean bad but by definition that is exactly what I've just described. Religion is one big cult with different leaders and texts, conflicting ways and views of worship and everyone is fighting the battle to be right. People are at war with each other to prove who is right and who is wrong. They want everyone to worship the right god and live the right way. But we can't prove or disprove any god so how do we know which of the currently absent great creators is the right god with our best interest in mind? Picking the right god would be like winning the lottery and that's to say you even get a choice in the first place. I don't have religious beliefs but I have some spiritual views. You will never hear me discuss any of them in any kind of detail though. This is because we live on a planet with many other people with many other sometimes opposing views. If you're so sure your beliefs are true and they get you through life then why does it even matter if anyone else agrees? Just live your life, love, be happy and don't worry so much about the things you can't change or fix. You're here now, take advantage of this...

I can't understand why some people get so offended by people on the internet. You're connected to everyone at once and a majority of people are assholes and kill time by being a dick. When you open yourself up publicly these assholes can communicate with you publicly. They do one thing all day and that is look for wounded people who openly express themselves about things that are off the beaten path. Even if your into something incredibly weird, if you show interest in that something and you help build onto it you're still contributing to society. I can't say the same for the other party... Why feel bad...?

Windows 8 should have been called Windows Touch or Windows for Touch Screens or something, then they should have held off on a Windows 8. Windows 8 is clearly designed for touch screen computers and doesn't seem practical for regular Desktop use or everyday use. I'd loose my fucking mind using it for an office job... Plus it just seems like it's pretty much an advanced version of Gallery turned into your entire desktop. I never use Gallery anyway. Besides I'm so conditioned to use a mouse and keyboard that even though I have a touch screen computer I never actually "touch" the screen anyway... The most touch screen action I get is flies landing on it and moving my page back while I'm reading or everything in my browser opening when I sneeze (this has actually happened, I'm not just trying to be funny). Plus to think someone who writes for a living is going to use a touch screen to put out screenplays or novels on a regular basis is ridiculous. I honestly would have just released some of these features as an expansion for people who use touch screen computers and would have allowed these things to be features to add on to Windows 7 and later a more reasonable version of Windows 8.

My two cents on gun laws...

 
(IF YOU DON"T READ THIS WORD FOR WORD DON'T COMMENT!) Gun Control is defined as: efforts to REGULATE or CONTROL THE SALE of guns. No one I know is discussing the idea of BANNING all guns. There are plenty of arguments and opinions to be had on the issue and I'm on the side of folks who want to protect the 2nd amendment... But why does the idea of regulating guns throw some people into a blind rage and cause them to write long poorly articulated and poorly defended rants about how UN-American gun control is? I agree there are plenty of situations were owning a gun can be vital to ones survival and I will vouch for that without thinking twice but I doubt anyone here has any use for some of the guns that are owned like ROCKET LAUNCHERS! None of you mother (BUGGERS) are Iron Man and there is no reason you should have a (PLUCKING) rocket launcher laying around your house. Beyond that some guns can be cool for responsible collectors to own within reason, I'm down with that. But preventing untrained irresponsible crazies from owning high powered weapons legally... I fail to see how that is bad thing... And the driving the car argument, please shut up about that. We regulate drivers license's and there is plenty of red tape around owning and being able to operate a vehicle legally not to mention there are tests to say who can operate what, when and where (I'd know I took the written test twice and the road test three times. I learned the hard way you have to study and practice to pass those tests. So cocky know it all's like me going after there DL's read your road manuals!). Also the fact people refuse to look past there own convictions in order to better regulate something everyone knows good and (DANG) well not everyone should own and operate is the same reason cars are just as dangerous as guns. The situation is going to vary by the circumstances and there is never going to be a straight forward argument for something like this! There is to much to take into consideration but it's safe to say we don't need rocket launchers to defend ourselves against break ins and bears. Actually people who have the car argument in mind might be on to something, maybe if we treated guns like we do cars or other vehicles we wouldn't be having this discussion huh?  What it really comes down to though... If you are selling a gun do you sell it to someone you know for a fact is going to use it to kill without reason? Do you get mad or act surprised when he/she uses it to hurt someone you love? And how do you logically or reasonably defend that decision without looking like a flaming bag of (CRABS)? You can better protect the 2nd amendment by applying some new laws and regulations, let that sink in.  I have no desire to ban guns but some NEW LAWS REGULATING who can and can't OWN A CERTAIN TYPE OF GUN doesn't sound like a bad thing. I'll leave you with this in response to the argument of operating vehicles compared to regulating guns and gun laws, MOST of us drive cars and more often than not illegally but very FEW of us (and definitely hardly ever illegally) fly planes and we DO for a fact regulate who can operate what, when and were and through proper channels like TESTING, think about that. And in reference to people not obeying laws, it can't be helped that some of us are (DONKEYS) and do ignorant (SPIT) with no regards to anyone else but you don't give those people (CLUCKING) guns and if you do you don't act surprised when they use them... (AGAIN IF YOU DIDN'T READ THIS ALL WORD FOR WORD DON'T COMMENT!)

Getting to know me is rough... I don't trust anyone and earning that trust can be difficult. I'm a bit of a mystery and the amount you get to know me will vary upon my trust level. If you're curious I encourage you to give a shot at getting to know me. I'm this way from experience, I'm aware of who I am as a person, I'm comfortable with that person, and I will always know better. I don't mean to be so cynical but I can't help it.

Some people would say I'm at least a little crazy and I'd be inclined to agree, but I've yet to meet anyone who is as "perfect" as they may pretend to be and don't exactly know what to classify as "crazy" these days. I'm quiet, like to sit back and watch and get used to environments I'm new to. Because of this I seem shy but I assure you I am not. Everyone is pushing some kind of facade and I can look past that and see to the real person and I like to know who I'm dealing with before I deal with them. What you see from me is who I am but only to a certain level. I will let you see only what I want you to see, the deeper you get the closer you will be to me and if I trust you that much I can rest easier.

In most cases, if you can't be patient and earn my respect and trust then I will not like you and you're going to push me further and further away. In that case you probably don't want to get to know me and have some other kind of motive or you just need someone to talk to. I'll shoot the shit with you but you don't need to know me. Beyond that you can spectate or pass me by.

Video Capture

So I was testing some of the Magix software with the Roxio Video Capture USB that came with the Roxio VHS to DVD software. While doing so I discovered with this combo I can record Dreamcast videos from my VCR. Up until this point I really haven't cared to much for Magix but the video capture program has given me ultimate control over my video capturing. This should come in handy later on! I also think the quality came out a whole let better than with the VHS to DVD software to...

READ THIS FIRST!

Props for creating scenes that police official's can't say is fake without proper investigation! Now, while I do partake in torture porn it's not something I fancy. I did get really into Saw and Hostel but this isn't the type of movie I usually seek out. I'm more into the idea of creating something so real that one can't decipher from fantasy and reality. Pushing the bar to such a point you effect someones sense of reality should be something any story teller should appreciate! If you start messing with someones right to create and express themselves freely though then we all need to be worried. The content doesn't matter, don't like it, don't watch it. Don't like serial killers then advocate proper mental health care. The serial killers never came for movies! There had to be someone to inspire most of these ideas. Where did those folks get their inspiration? Jack the Ripper, Ed Gain, Jeffrey Dahmer, Charles manson, etc... All these folks inspired movies but never came from movies! The thought that violent movies corrupt "normal" or "innocent" minds and breed serial killers is ridiculous. People without some kind of issue prior to a movie just do not act out this way and most of the people who have were inspired by real life events and not movies! I.E. abuse from piers and parents or corrupt teachings from mentors. Why is it the battle we fight is never against the things that truly breed hate? Breaking down the first amendment and telling someone what is okay to express and why defeats the purpose of it in the first place! We are violent by nature and when you allow someone breach that part of a young persons mind, you allow them to create a violent adult. The real efforts should be against abusive parents and piers as well as the wasted time, money and efforts against these film makers who ninety percent of the time are in defense of those people. This guy creates some intense imagery and has done great film work but he does not deserve to be arrested for creating art! Whether or not you like the materiel he's created is beside the point... No one should advocate this!

The few materiel things I want anymore are patches, dental floss to sew with, old t-shirt scraps to put together cloths and materials to create... Most of these things can come pretty easy and for little to no money. Just proves to me I can be totally satisfied while avoiding most fiscal things. Still every once in a while I need money and really get consumed by the fact I need that chedda... Can I be comfortable and freelance? That's the question at hand now. I'm going to try a whole buncha stuff to support myself without giving into the ideals of the ones who control our financial institutions and then write about it. Something about living as an artist and supporting yourself without giving up all of your time and letting go of morals. Actually that sounds like a really awesome way to get more content into the blog.

People like to hear themselves talk...

I'd like to see a politician or public speaker who'd bring people on stage with them and have them explain their opinions. I bet you nine out of every ten people who claim someone is a Communist, socialist, like Hitler or any thing like that couldn't even explain to you why they think that much less even define the words or the difference between them. It's easy to just bark out something like that when you don't have to explain yourself. How many people do you think could even explain why they think such things? If you pulled those people on stage to explain themselves after shouting something like that I bet most of them would talk them self into a circle or stand there like a deer in headlights.... I just wish people had more common sense and actually knew what they were talking when they spoke on things that effect everyone as a whole.

Also it's Dec. 2nd and it's 64 degrees in Owensboro KY... Is that normal?
